No Matter What May Come My Way…
I realize that life is tough. In fact, it is downright unfair at times. But there is a way.
When we’re overwhelmed by the troubles of life our heart breaks. We’re left lonely, hurt and even destroyed to the point of seeing no future and no purpose in our lives. We may fall to the point of despair and even self destruction. I know these feelings all too well.
I remember these words:
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30: 1-5
All through the Bible, God emphasizes the power of community. The friends and family that we have around us are to be a support, strength and a refuge in a world that seeks its own. Our world seems at times to counter this whole idea of having others to lean on. Yet, God says that we are to encourage each other daily.
But encourage one another daily, … so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. (Heb.3:13)
Whatever our struggles are today, Christ will overcome them. We cannot give into despair. It is only there to destroy us. Instead, we must find hope. Hope. Our struggles, though they may overwhelm us for the moment, are temporary. Giving into them insures that they win. Remaining hopeful insures that we will overcome them. Jesus said, “Take heart for I have overcome the world,” and to him we must give our pain. Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning!
Your morning is just around the corner. It may take a few days or even longer. But if we remain hopeful, we will walk into a new day feeling renewed, filled with hope and joy, and we will grow stronger than we ever imagined in our faith! “I know that I can make it and I know that I can stand, no matter what may come my way. Jesus… My life is in your hands…” -Kirk Franklin.
Here is a little tune from Kirk Franklin. I Hope it encourages you today. Your life is in God’s hands, and he loves you!
